168th Street West Center Road to Q Street Project Updates

About the Project

168th Street between West Center Street and Q Street is planned to be reconstructed to a four-lane roadway divided by a median. The existing two-lane roadway is at capacity and often experiences delays during the peak hours. Improvements in this project include a new roadway with curb and gutter, enclosed storm sewer, sidewalks, retaining walls, noise walls, bridge over Zorinsky Lake and traffic signals. Improving safety for all transportation users, enhancing traffic operations, decreasing peak hour congestion, and improving drainage control are the primary benefits of the project.

The City of Omaha held a pre-construction Meeting regarding construction of 168th Street - West Center Road to Q Street.  The meeting was held on March 2nd, 2023.  See below for information presented at the meeting.
